The Chicago Wolves announced Monday that right wing TY RATTIE and goaltender NIKLAS LUNDSTROM have rejoined the team ahead of Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals in Utica on Wednesday.
RATTIE, who had been with the Blues since being recalled April 1, was returned on loan from St. Louis (NHL) while LUNDSTROM was reassigned by St. Louis from Alaska (ECHL).
During his two stints with the Blues this season, RATTIE contributed two assists, two penalty minutes, eight shots on goal, and an even plus/minus rating in 11 games. He registered his first NHL point Feb. 5 at Buffalo. The forward skated in two games for St. Louis during 2013-14, including his NHL debut April 11 at Dallas.
The 22-year-old ranked second on the Wolves in goals (21) and third in points (42) this season despite playing in only 59 games. He also recorded a +7 plus/minus rating, 12 penalty minutes, and 195 shots on goal for Chicago. His 48 points last year made him the first rookie to lead Chicago in regular-season production and he added three points (G, 2A) in nine contests during the 2014 Calder Cup Playoffs.
Prior to turning pro, the Airdrie, Alberta, native enjoyed a prolific junior career with the Portland Winterhawks (WHL), for whom he racked up 348 points (151G, 197A) in 269 games over five seasons (2008-13). He contributed another 95 points (50G, 45A) in 76 playoff games and helped lead the team to a WHL Championship and Memorial Cup berth in 2013.
RATTIE was selected by St. Louis with its first selection, 32nd overall, in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
LUNDSTROM joins the Wolves for the second time this season, having been with the team for a month from late January to February. He saw 14 minutes of action, stopping all six shots he faced in his AHL debut on Feb. 3.
The 22-year-old spent a majority of this season, his first as a pro in North America, with Alaska (ECHL). He posted a 17-16-2 record, 3.05 goals-against average, and .895 save percentage in 36 games for the Aces.
The Varmdo, Sweden, native spent parts of the last five seasons in the Allsvenskan and Swedish Elite League. In addition he helped backstop Sweden to silver medals at both the 2011 U18 World Junior Championship and the 2013 U20 World Junior Championship.
LUNDSTROM was drafted by the St. Louis Blues with their sixth selection, 132nd overall, in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
