Syracuse Crunch News Release

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - NBC's "The Voice" competitor and Fulton, N.Y. native Josh Batstone will sing the national anthem prior to Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals between the Syracuse Crunch and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at the War Memorial on Wednesday, April 29 at 7 p.m.

Batstone, 18, appeared on this season of "The Voice," where he was chosen for Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine's team after a blind audition. The singer was eliminated from the vocal competition during the second stage of Battle Rounds.

"The Voice" is currently in its eighth season. Levine, along with Pharrell Williams, Blake Sheldon and Christina Aguilera, serve as celebrity musical coaches who guide contestants through five stages of the competition. Singers are selected by coaches through blind auditions, ensuring competitors are judged solely for their vocal talent.

Tickets for Round One Game A of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals are on sale now and can be purchased either in person at the Crunch Box Office located at the War Memorial on 800 South State Street in Syracuse, or by calling the office at (315) 473-4444.
