Rascals Release New Concession Item "Arch Nemesis"

O'Fallon, Mo - With the Gateway Grizzlies coming to O'Fallon for the first time this season on June 20th, the River City Rascals are looking to kick-start the rivalry against their cross-town foes with the release of a new concession item, the Arch Nemesis, which topples the idea that Gateway serves "Baseball's Best Burger".
The ultimate "burgandwich", the Arch Nemesis features a three ounce grilled teriyaki chicken breast sandwiched between two quarter-pound 100% all-beef hamburger patties, seasoned in Riley's All Purpose Seasoning with two slices of white and two slices of yellow American cheese on a toasted hamburger bun.
Invented by longtime Rascal prep cook Alex Funkhouser, this combination of beef and chicken, considered a faux pas in the restaurant industry, provides an unusual and savory palate experience that tops the Gateway Grizzlies' seemingly ancient release of "Baseball's Best Burger". Riley's award winning All Purpose Seasoning provides a perfect complement to the unique balance of the "burgandwich" that registers at just under 900 calories.
Longtime Gateway Grizzlie and current River City Rascals catcher Charlie Lisk says there is no comparison between Gateway's "donut burger", as he calls it, and the Rascals' Arch Nemesis. "It's not T.R. Hughes Bakery, it's T.R. Hughes Ballpark; we serve baseball food here. It's a good think Mike (former Rascal and current Gateway hitting coach Mike Breyman) is not still with River City because you are what you eat, and he would love this."
The premium concession item will be available for just six dollars at all Rascals' games starting Wednesday, June 20th when the Gateway Grizzlies visit T.R. Hughes Ballpark for the first time this season.
"Our concessions are brand new this season", says Rascals General Manager Dan Dial, "and the release of the Arch Nemesis as a featured item at T.R. Hughes Ballpark is just one way to showcase to our fans we are serious about our food, and serious about providing a unique experience that all are sure to enjoy."
The River City Rascals will be holding a press conference at 1:00 on Wednesday, June 20th prior to the official release of the Arch Nemesis. The event will feature a chance to sample the new item, talk with its inventor Alex Funkhouser, as well as visit with Riley's Seasoning founder/owner David Riley.
