Jonathan Walsh and Andrew Ray each had a double and 2 RBIs, but Ogden defeated Orem 6-5 on Sunday afternoon.

Jairo Diaz made his Owlz debut this afternoon, but his defense let him down in the 4th inning. The Raptors scored three runs in 2nd and three in the 4th. The 4th inning was the critical inning, because the Owlz committed two errors, allowing three unearned runs to cross the plate.

The Owlz scored first for the first time in the series, getting two runs in the 1st inning on a RBI double by Walsh that scored Wendell Soto and an error that brought around Wade Hinkle. However, Diaz could not hold the lead, allowing three runs in the 2nd frame on RBI singles by Darnell Sweeney and Justin Boudreuax.

Ogden's lead did not last long, as Orem took the lead right back in the 3rd on RBI doubles by Walsh and Ray. Ray now has a team-leading five doubles and 11 hits.

The Owlz trailed 6-4 after four innings, but battled back, getting one run in the 5th on a RBI single by Ray.

Unfortunately, only one more Owlz player reached base in the final four innings off of the Raptors bullpen. Duke von Schamann picked up the win, hurling two innings of perfect baseball, while Owen Jones fired a perfect inning for the save.

Orem will now travel to Grand Junction for the first time ever to begin a three-game series on Monday evening against the Rockies. You can listen to all the action online at audio.oremowlz.com.
