Raptors 905, the NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors announced Tuesday their 2023-24 Showcase Cup and regular season schedules. The club will tipoff its ninth season in the G League on Nov. 10 at the Nassau Coliseum against the Long Island Nets. Raptors 905's home opener is set for Nov. 12 against the College Park Skyhawks.
The Showcase Cup is an in-season single-elimination tournament where teams compete for the Showcase Cup Championship. The teams with the best win percentage in each regional pod compete for the cup, while the remaining teams each play two games in the tournament in December. Noteworthy home games during the Showcase Cup include a visit from the NBA G League Champions Delaware Blue Coats, for consecutive contests on Dec. 12 and Dec. 14.
After the Showcase Cup, NBA G League team records reset as they prepare for the regular season. Raptors 905 open the regular season on the road as they take on the Westchester Knicks on Dec. 27. Other notable games during the regular season include a visit to the Rip City Remix on Feb. 27. The NBA G League affiliate of the Portland Trail Blazers will make their inaugural season debut during the 2023-24 campaign. The 905 will also host their third annual International Women's Night Game on Mar. 8 vs. the Indiana Mad Ants.
The longest home stand of the regular season is six games from Jan. 20 - Feb. 3 (15 days). The longest road swing is four games which happens twice on Feb. 23 - Feb. 29 and Mar. 11 - Mar. 17 (six days).
Raptors 905's busiest month is January with 12 games - including the most home games with seven - while the busiest road month is February with six games away from the Paramount Fine Foods Centre.
Raptors 905 will have seven back-to-backs this season, two less than last season. Of those sets, five are road games followed by road games.
