Maine Celtics Announce Schedule for 2023-24 Season

September 5, 2023 - NBA G League (G League)
Maine Celtics News Release

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Celticsannounced their schedule today for the upcoming 2023-24 NBA G League season.

The Celtics' 50-game G League schedule tips off on Friday, Nov. 10 at Capital City. After another road game at Westchester on Sunday, Nov. 12, the Celtics return to the Portland Expo for their home opener against Long Island on Friday, Nov. 17 with a 7:00 p.m. tipoff. Maine will play its standard 24-game home schedule in 2023-24, with all home games taking place at the Expo.

Like previous seasons, the 2023-24 NBA G League season will be split into two parts and include an in-season tournament. The first 14 games of the schedule are the Showcase Cup, a competition featuring all 31 NBA G League teams. The Showcase Cup will culminate with a championship in December at the annual NBA G League Winter Showcase, where every G League team will play two games. Each team's record will then reset for the remaining 34-game slate, followed by the traditional NBA G League Playoffs.

The Celtics will play 18 different NBA G League opponents this season. Maine will host its traditional New Year's Eve matinee game, a 1:00 p.m. matinee on Dec. 31 vs. Grand Rapids. January is Maine's busiest month, with 12 games slated. That month features Maine's longest homestand - the Celtics will play seven consecutive home games from Jan. 13-27. Seventeen of Maine's home games are weekend games, taking place on either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, with nine family-friendly 1:00 p.m. tip times.

Season tickets are currently on sale now for the 2023-24 season. Mini plans and single game tickets will go on sale at a future date. For details, visit MaineCeltics.com/tickets.
