DENVER, CO (03-25-04)- The Colorado Rapids placed forward Chris Carrieri on waivers today. With this player move, Colorado is in compliance with Major League Soccer's salary cap.
Carrieri played a total of 30 games with the Black and Blue last season, netting three goals and recording eight assists in 2003. While only playing in 14 games in 2001, Carrieri broke out in 2002, starting in 18 of the 25 games he played that year for the club.
