Colorado Rapids News Release
COMMERCE CITY, CO. (Wednesday, July 2, 2008) - The Rapids' match vs. the New York Red Bulls, which is part of the 2008 "4thFest Colorado" festival being hosted by the Rapids and Commerce City at Dick's Sporting Goods Park this Friday, is on the verge of selling out for a second consecutive year, the team announced today.
In order to meet demand, the Rapids have released a limited number of standing room-only tickets priced at $15 per ticket. These standing room-only tickets will go on-sale today, July 2 at 12 pm MT and are a final opportunity for fans to secure their place for the Rapids' annual 4thFest celebration.
Preceding the match between the Rapids and Red Bulls will be a festival outside the south end of the stadium starting at 5 pm, featuring live bands, kids' activities, a beer garden, and interactive games for families and fans of all ages.
Then following the game will be Colorado's biggest and most explosive fireworks show in celebration of America's birthday. The location of Dick's Sporting Goods Park frees the club to put on a pyrotechnics show that will have none of the noise or shell size restrictions that other shows in downtown Denver or other areas must adhere to, making this show the biggest and most explosive in the state this year.
Fans interested in purchasing standing room-only tickets may do so at the Dick's Sporting Goods Park Box Office or via phone by calling 303-825-GOAL (4625).
