COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (Monday, May 9, 2011) - The Rapids, now 4-3-2, will train at home for three days until departing once more for the third of three consecutive road matches within 11 days. This Saturday they take on D.C. United at RFK Stadium at 5:30 p.m. (MT).

What looked to be a difficult test proved a rare and successful road trip for the Colorado Rapids. They broke a four game winless streak on Wednesday and pulled out an unlikely 2-1 come-from-behind win at Robertson Stadium, where they'd never beaten the Houston Dynamo before. In their second match of the week, they played the New England Revolution to a scoreless draw.

D.C. had a similar Week 8 of MLS play, beating Seattle Sounders FC 2-1 and tying FC Dallas 0-0 on Saturday. They are 3-4-2 in the 2011 season and lead the all-time series at RFK Stadium 10-3-4 against the Rapids. On April 3, Colorado defeated United 4-1 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park with goals from Jamie Smith, Omar Cummings, and a debut brace from Caleb Folan.

In this matchup, the Rapids also look forward to the expected return of striker Conor Casey, who has been out of action due to an injury suffered in the April 3 victory over DCU.
