
Rapids and Civic Center Conservancy to screen "Despicable Me" on August 2 at Civic Center Park

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. - The Colorado Rapids have partnered with the Civic Center Conservancy to present "Despicable Me" on Friday, August 2 from 7:30 - 11 p.m. as part of Denver's 2013 Movies in the Park Series. The Colorado Rapids Academy will host a clinic with 50 children from Big Brothers, Big Sisters at the park from 6:30-7:30, followed by an autograph session with Rapids defenders Drew Moor and Shane O'Neill from 7:30-8:30.
Colorado Rapids Street Team will be there starting at 6:30 p.m. with giveaways and activities for children.
Produced by the Civic Center Conservancy, Denver Parks and Recreation, and the Outdoor Cinema Network, the Civic Center Bike-In Movie Series invites cycling enthusiasts, as well as those using all other modes of transportation, to enjoy gourmet food trucks and a free screening of the movie "Despicable Me" displayed on a 40-foot screen in Civic Center Park.
