Rapid City Rush News Release

(Rapid City, SD) - Tuesday night the Rush squared off against the Arizona Sundogs in the first 'Two-For-Tuesday' game of the season. The Rush received key contributions from Jared Brown and Jarrett Konkle who each tallied their-team leading 6th goal of the season while Tim Boron turned aside 28 shots for a 3-2 triumph. The Rush hit the ice again on Friday, November 16th, as they take on the Fort Worth Brahmas in their first meeting of the 2012-13 season.

Half way into the first frame, Rusty Masters would open the scoring with his third goal of the season on a deflected centering pass by Scott Wray. Arizona would respond late in the period when Chad Nehring notched the equalizer with a wrist shot from the high slot that was set up by Derek LeBlanc.

Jarrett Konkle, 6:32 into the second frame, would get the go-ahead goal for the Rush, cashing in off a shot block by Arizona goaltender David Brown. Later in the frame Jared Brown would capitalize on the man advantage with the assist from Riley Weselowski, doubling the Rush lead to 3-1 heading into the second intermission.

With less than eight minutes left in regulation, Nehring would collect his second goal of the night for the Sundogs, but it wouldn't be enough as the Rush held on for the 3-2 victory.
