THUNDER CLAIM FOUR POINTS- Wichita came into the weekend as one of the hottest teams in the CHL. After a weekend sweep of rival Missouri, the Thunder looked to keep that momentum going against the Rapid City Rush. On Friday, Wichita rolled to a 6-2 win behind four unanswered goals, three in a span of 1:34 in the opening period. Greger Hanson, RG Flath and Matt Summers combined for nine points and Kevin Regan won his third-straight start. The two teams faced off on Saturday night, with the Rush holding the Thunder offense in check with a 4-0 win. Wichita out shot Rapid City 28-11 through the first two periods, but led 1-0 heading into the final frame. The Rush closed out the game with three tallies and snapped the Thunder's four-game winning streak. Wichita finished off the weekend on Sunday afternoon with a 6-2 victory over the Fort Worth Brahmas. Les Reaney led the way with two goals and one assist and Greger Hanson added another multi-point game on the season.
NO ANSWERS- Wichita twice rolled off rallies this weekend. On Friday, the Thunder scored four unanswered goals after allowing Rapid City to take a 1-0 lead. After trailing 1-0 to the Brahmas on Sunday, Wichita erupted for five unanswered en route to a 6-2 win. In their two wins this weekend, Wichita outscored their opponents 12-4 and won both games by the same score.
SCORING SPREE- Wichita had a difficult time of finding the net on their first road trip in the state of Illinois. Since then, the Thunder offense has recorded 25 goals and has gone 5-1 in their last six games. Wichita features four-of- the-top seven in the scoring department, including Hanson (5g, 10a), Trimm (7g, 8a) and Painchaud (3g, 12a) all tied at 15 points.
JUMPING IN- Kevin Young and Dave Inman sit near the top of the league in scoring by defenseman. Young tallied the overtime winner against Missouri on November 4th and Inman recorded a goal in Sunday afternoon's contest against the Fort Worth Brahmas. Young is currently in third with nine points (4g, 5a) and Inman is tied in fifth with eight points (3g, 5a).
100 CLUB- RG Flath is approaching two big milestones for his career. He is just 10 goals shy of reaching 100 as a pro and just one assist shy of reaching 100 in that category. The Park City, UT native has 12 points so far this season (4g, 8a).

Wichita is in first in goals scored (44), first for assists (76) and first for points scored (120)...Wichita leads the league in minors (60) and majors (12)...Aaron Boogaard is in first in penalty minutes (51) and majors (7)...Wichita is fourth in shots for per game (34.1) and second in shots against per game (27.36)...Wichita is 4-1 when leading after one...Wichita is 4-0 when leading after two periods...Wichita is 1-0 when tied after two...When trailing after one, Wichita is 2-2-0... In 4-goal games, Wichita is 2-1...When outshooting the opponent, Wichita is 3-4-1...
