Kitchener ON: Rangers fans again showed their generosity when the Rangers launched their 3rd Annual Remembrance Day Jersey at their final home game before Remembrance Day this past Friday.

The commemorative jersey was designed by Ironhead Athletic in conjunction with RBK, the official supplier of game jerseys for the CHL as a tribute to both the 1956 K-W Dutchmen Canadian Olympic Hockey Team and Remembrance Day.

The jersey featured Canada across the chest and had a poppy inserted within the white maple leaf with the Rangers shield on each shoulder.

A silent auction raised a record $19,772 and will benefit the 78th Fraser Highlanders Fort Conestoga Garrison and the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund. The 78th Fraser Highlanders will be responsible for distribution of the proceeds to assist veterans and their families.

Since 2005, the Rangers have raised over $51,000 through the Remembrance Day jersey auction.

The Rangers also announced they will wear this years version a second time when they meet the Ottawa 67's in the nations capital on November 11, 2007 before presenting them to the many successful bidders of the silent auction.
