Mississauga St. Michael's Majors News Release

Mississauga, ON - The Mississauga St. Michael's Majors are pleased to announce that they've added another goaltender to their roster. Anthony Grieco, a 2004 Majors draft pick, has decided to leave the University of North Dakota hockey program and join the Majors immediately. He'll be in the Mississauga line-up for this weekend's road trip, wearing number 31.

Grieco was originally grabbed in the 12th round (238th overall) of the 2004 OHL Priority Selection. At the time, he was a member of the Don Mills Minor Hockey system. He spent the 2004-05 season with St. Andrew's College in Toronto then starred for the Provincial Junior A Wellington Dukes during the 2005-06 campaign, earning a berth on that year's all-star team and the league playoff MVP award.

Last year was Grieco's first with North Dakota. In 8 games, he registered a 3-2-1 record, a 3.49 goals-against-average and a 0.884 save percentage.

Grieco stands 6'1" and weighs 195 lbs. The Brampton native will turn 19 years-of-age later this month.

The Majors stop in Windsor to battle the Spitfires on Thursday night (November 8) at 7:30 p.m., Plymouth on Friday evening (November 9) at 7:05 p.m., and the Brampton Battalion on Sunday afternoon (November 11) at 2 p.m. All three games will be webcast at www.stmichaelsmajors.com.

Mississauga returns home to host the Kitchener Rangers on Wednesday (November 14) evening at 7 p.m.
