Toronto, ON - The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Oshawa Generals' left winger Brett MacLean is the Boston Pizza OHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday November 4 after scoring nine goals and one assist for 10 points in three games.

MacLean started the week with a pair of goals in an 8-3 loss to the Kitchener Rangers on November 1. He followed up with four consecutive goals - including one on the powerplay, one even strength, one shorthanded and the final one into an empty net - in a 6-3 win over the Brampton Battalion on November 2. MacLean finished the week with two goals and an assist in a 9-5 win over the Kingston Frontenacs on November 4. He was the third star of Thursday's game and earned first star honours on Friday and Sunday.

The 19-year-old native of Port Elgin, ON is sixth in the OHL scoring race with 15 goals and 14 assists for 29 points in 13 games this season. MacLean, a second round pick of the Phoenix Coyotes in the NHL Entry Draft last June, is two points shy of 200 in his four year OHL career.
