Rangers lead series 3-0

Kitchener ON: Justin Azevedo, Matt Halischuk and Nick Spaling continue to lead the way for the Kitchener Rangers as they opened up scoring at 0:32 en-route to a 6-2 victory over the Sarnia Sting. The win gives the Rangers a 3-0 lead in the Western Conference semi-final series.

Matt Halischuk scored his seventh goal of the playoffs season to put the Rangers up 2-0. Sarnia answered back 3:24 into the first period when Jamie Arniel scored his second goal of the series. Steve Reese leveled out the score 2-2 with his first goal of the playoffs at the 6:01 mark.

Matt Halischuk buried his second of the game late in the first to put the Rangers up 3-2.

Josh Unice took over in net for the Rangers at the 1:13 mark in the second period.

Mikkel Boedker regained the Rangers two goal margin early in the second period. Matt Pepe buried Mike Duco's rebound to end the second 5-2 Rangers.

Nick Spaling scored the lone goal of the third period on the power play to close out scoring for the game 6-2 Rangers.
