Rangers Join the Pink Shirt Movement

Stand up to bullying and show your support for the Pink Shirt Movement. Together, the Kitchener Rangers and the Waterloo Region Record's Newspapers in Education have identified the need to address this concern and are committed to promoting safer schools and a positive learning environment.

The Rangers have partnered with Newspapers in Education to provide elementary grades in Waterloo Region the opportunity to take part in the serial stories Respecting Mr. Ravi and Solving Damian Dermite which deal sensitively with the subject of bullying and is accompanied by 1-6 grade level curriculum. The Rangers and Newspapers in Education are also asking you to join the Pink Shirt movement. With the help of Waterloo chapter of WAYVE (Working Against Youth Violence Everywhere), Pink Shirt Day will be celebrated on February 27th, 2013. Join the hundreds of people across our region that will be wearing pink to symbolize that we as a society will not tolerate bullying.

Visit the Rangers Community Corner on Friday, February 15 and Saturday, February 23 to purchase your specially designed pink t-shirt to wear on February 27 for PINK SHIRT DAY. Only $10.00 each!

The T-Shirt was designed Kirti Lad, a grade 10 student at Cameron Heights Secondary School.
