Rancho Cucamonga, CA - The Quakes suffered a blow-out loss on Thursday night at LoanMart Field, as the San Jose Giants took their second straight win over Rancho Cucamonga, 12-1.
Zach Morgan had two hits and three RBIs, while Jose Ramos had three hits and a career-high six RBIs.
San Jose starter Nomar Medina (4-5) was solid, keeping the Quakes off the board over five innings, earning the win.
Rancho starter Gabe Emmett (5-4) struggled for a second straight outing, as he allowed six runs in just 2.2 innings.
Rancho scored their one and only run in the eighth, as Josue De Paula, who had three hits on the night, scored from third on an Jorge Puerta sac fly, making it 10-1.
The Quakes (12-15, 51-42) will look to get back on track on Friday night at 6:30pm, as Peter Heubeck (2-5) takes on Mauricio Estrella (0-0).
