
Rampage Wrap up Weekend with 4-3 Loss to Checkers

SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 22, 2015) - The San Antonio Rampage (9-2-5-0) scored two power-play goals but fell to the Charlotte Checkers (8-8-0-0) 4-3 in front of 3,808 at the AT&T Center on Sunday. The Silver and Black held a 3-0 lead in the second period, but Charlotte got on the board midway through the middle frame and scored three goals in a 6:54 span in the third period.
Reid Petryk opened the scoring, burying a centering pass from Colin Smith on the power play to make it 1-0 just over five minutes in.
The Rampage scored early in the middle frame to take a 2-0 lead, as Nikita Zadorov put the rebound of a Borna Rendulic shot past Rasmus Tirronen. With the primary assist on both Petryk's and Zadorov's goals, Colin Smith recorded his 50th AHL and Professional assist.
Joey Hishon extended San Antonio's lead to three, scoring his fourth of the season at 8:51 of the period. The goal was Hishon's 10th point this season, eight of which have come in the last eight games. Trevor Carrick scored near the midway point of the period, and the Silver and Black took a 3-1 lead into the second intermission.
Phil Di Giuseppe and Derek Ryan scored within 22 seconds of each other in the third period to tie the game at three at 13:28. Di Giuseppe scored again with 1:43 remaining in regulation to complete the comeback for the Checkers.
San Antonio finished 2-for-4 on the power play while holding Charlotte scores on two opportunities with the man advantage.

San Antonio has now scored 17 first-period goals, 13 of which have come in the first nine minutes of the game.
Lineup Notes
With Mikko Rantanen out of the lineup with an undisclosed injury, Joey Hishon played on the Rampage's top line with Andrew Agozzino and Marc-Andre Cliché. Trevor Cheek played on the third line with Patrick Bordeleau and Troy Bourke. Mat Clark returned to the lineup after missing Friday's game with an injury.
