Moose Sign Goaltender Joe Caligiuri

The Manitoba Moose Hockey Club announced today that they have signed goaltender Joe Caligiuri to an amateur tryout agreement.

Caligiuri, 26, previously spent four seasons with the University of Manitoba Bisons from 2010 through 2014 where he played in 46 games compiling a 24-16-2 record.

The Winnipeg native spent a year with the MJHL's Dauphin Kings during the 2009-10 season leading the team to the league championship and was named the playoffs most valuable player.

Prior to that Caligiuri played three seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Brandon Wheat Kings and Prince George Cougars. He posted a career record of 46-35-6 with a 3.14 GAA and a .894 save percentage in 99 career games.

He will join the Moose roster for their game on Sunday afternoon against the Bakersfield Condors at 2 p.m. at the MTS Centre.
