San Antonio Rampage News Release

THIS WEEK'S GAME

Saturday, Oct. 8 vs. Chicago Wolves

AT&T Center, 7 p.m.

The Rampage will host their season opener this Saturday against the Chicago Wolves. Last year, they posted a 4-2 record against the Wolves with three of those victories coming at home.

OPENING NIGHT-Oct. 8: The Rampage open their 10th Anniversary season this Sat- urday as they take on the Chicago Wolves at 7 p.m. The first 5,000 fans through the AT&T Center doors will receive a Rampage sched- ule magnet. Fans will have an opportunity to meet the 2011-12 Rampage team and get autographs immediately after the game in the Bud Light Courtyard.

FAMILIAR FACES: With the affiliation change this offseason, only two players from last year's squad will wear the Rampage uniform, center Bracken Kearns and defenseman Nolan Yonkman. In addition, forward Bill Thomas joins the Rampage for his second stint with the team. He was a member of the Ram- page from 2006 to 2008.

SIMPLY THE BEST: ESPN named the Florida Panthers' prospects No. 1 in their NHL organizational rankings based on the potential of each team's minor league prospects. Many of the Panthers' top prospects will develop in San Antonio this season.

OPENING ACT: The Rampage open the season at home this Saturday as they host the Wolves at 7 p.m. They are 7-2 in home openers and 6-3 in sea- son openers.

PERFECT PRESEASON: The Rampage won back-to-back preseason games against rival Texas Stars with a 4-0 victory on Friday and a 3-2 overtime win on Saturday.

ICE CHIPS: Manny Legace- Goaltender

Goaltender Manny Legace, who signed with the Ram- page last week, brings with him 17 years of experience at the pro level to San Antonio.

Legace, 38, has played in 367 career NHL games. Most notably, he backstopped the Detroit Red Wings to the NHL's best record during the 2005-06 season, posting a record of 37-8-3 with a 2.19 goals against average and a .915 save percentage in 51 games.

In 148 career AHL games, Legace is 70-54-17 with a 2.81 goal against average and a .915 save percentage. His 20-12-4 record and 2.27 goals against average dur- ing the 1995-96 season with Springfield earned him the Aldege (Baz) Bastien and the Harry (Hap) Holmes Me- morial Awards.
