Rampage Reassign Goaltender Brian Foster to Cincinnati

SAN ANTONIO (April 24, 2013) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has reassigned goaltender Brian Foster to the team's ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.

Foster, 26, appeared in seven games for the Rampage this season, owning a 1-3-0 record and a 2.92 goals-against average and 0.910 save percentage. Prior to being recalled to the Rampage on March 4, Foster appeared in 32 games for the Cyclones and posted a 19-7-4 record. The 6-foot-2, 186-pound goaltender also sported a 0.907 save percentage and a 2.67 goals-against average for Cincinnati. The Pembroke, New Hampshire native was drafted in the fifth round (161st overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Florida Panthers.

The Cyclones host the Gwinnett Gladiators in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals of the Kelly Cup Playoffs tonight at 7:35 p.m. The two teams are tied at one game apiece in the best-of-seven series.

The Rampage wrapped up the 2012-13 season on Saturday with a 29-38-2-7 record. Hockey will return to the Alamo City on Saturday, Sept. 20 when the AT&T Center will host a NHL preseason game between the Florida Panthers and Dallas Stars.
