San Antonio Rampage News Release
Rampage Update: San Antonio ended their exhibition play splitting four games with the Houston Aeros 2-2-0-0. On Friday, the Rampage traveled to Sugar Land and were defeated by the Aeros 3-2. Rookie Lou Dickenson scored the game's first goal on a shorthanded shot and later added an assist on Kamil Kreps' second period goal. Travis Scott allowed three goals on 31 shots.
On Saturday, the Rampage completed the home-and-home series at the Ice Center at Northwoods and defeated the Aeros 5-4 in overtime. Jay Bouwmeester scored late in the first period to tie the game at one on assists from Dickenson and Kreps. Paul Healey tallied two second-period goals to give the Rampage a 3-2 lead. With the Aeros up 4-3 late in the third period, Kreps used a 6-on-5 empty net advantage to tie the game with 19 seconds to play in regulation. Stephen Weiss and Bouwmeester assisted on the goal. One minute and 23 seconds into the overtime period, Kreps beat the Aeros goalie for the game winner. Patrick DesRochers denied 20 of 24 shots to earn the victory.
