Sun., Oct. 10 (at) Chicago 3, Milwaukee Admirals 2 (SO)
-- The Wolves surrendered a two-goal, third period lead, but overcame the Milwaukee Admirals in the shootout, 3-2, at The Edge in Bensenville
--Defenseman BRIAN SIPOTZ and right wing J.P. VIGIER each notched a power-play goal
--Goaltender KARI LEHTONEN registered 20 saves on 22 shots

Thu., Oct. 7 (at) Chicago 2, Grand Rapids Griffins 0
-- Netminder KARI LEHTONEN turned aside all 23 shots he faced to help the Wolves shut out the Grand Rapids Griffins, 2-0, at West Meadows Ice Arena
--Left wings BRIAN MALONEY and ADAM SMYTH recorded power-play goals for Chicago

Tue., Oct. 5 (at) Milwaukee 5, Chicago 1
-- The Wolves fell behind, 4-0, after two periods and were unable to recover in a 5-1 loss against the Milwaukee Admirals at Blue Line Family Ice Center in Fond du Lac, Wis.
--Center KEVIN DOELL posted Chicago's lone goal

KARI LEHTONEN: Named the No. 1-rated player in The Hockey News' 2003 and 2004 Future Watch, and the publication's minor pro prospect of the year last season ... Paced Wolves netminders with 20 wins, a 2.41 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage in 39 regular-season appearances last year ... Posted a perfect 4-0-0-0 mark in his NHL debut with Atlanta last season, notching a 1.25 goals- against average and a .953 save percentage ... Named the starting netminder for PlanetUSA in the American Hockey League's 2004 All-Star Game

STEVE MALTAIS: Paced the Wolves and shared 14th in the AHL with 64 points in 76 games last year ... Tied for the team-lead with 31 goals ... Ranked third on the club with 33 assists ... Shared the team-lead with nine points and ranked second on the Wolves with five goals in 10 postseason games

DEREK MacKENZIE: Tallied one assist and 10 penalty minutes in 12 games with Atlanta ... Notched career-highs with 19 goals and 35 points in 63 games with the Wolves ... Finished third on the club with 19 goals ... Paced the team during the postseason with a career-high seven goals

J.P. VIGIER: Recorded 10 goals, eight assists and 18 points in 70 games with Atlanta last year ­ his first full NHL season

CORY LAROSE: Made his NHL debut with the New York Rangers last season, notching one assist and four penalty minutes in seven games ... Shared first on the Hartford Wolf Pack with 36 assists and ranked fourth on the club with 49 points in 69 games last year

KARL STEWART: Paced the Wolves and ranked third among league rookies with a +24 plus/minus rating last year ... Finished third among AHL rookies and fourth on the team with 32 assists ... Registered one assist and four penalty minutes in five games with Atlanta, which includes his NHL debut on Nov. 7 against the Columbus Blue Jackets

WOLF TRACKS

--The Wolves led the AHL with 26 home wins and shared a league-best .700 winning percentage on home ice.
--Chicago shared the league-lead on the power play at home at 19.8 percent (45 of 227) and ranked second overall at 17.9 percent (76 of 424), while recording an AHL-most 76 power-play goals and a league-most 45 at home.
--The Wolves ranked second in the AHL in scoring with an average of 3.08 goals per game and 246 goals overall.
--Chicago set a franchise record by allowing just 208 goals last season.
