Today's Game: Having completed their 12-game rodeo road trip (4-7-1-0) against the Grand Rapids Griffins last night, the San Antonio Rampage (23-31-3-4; 53 pts.) play their fourth game in fifth night in a Sunday matinee game against the Houston Aeros... The Rampage enter tonight sitting sixth in the West Division standings; five points behind Houston for the fourth and final playoff spot... The Rampage, who have lost seven on their last eight games, are 12-11-1-2 at the SBC Center.

Against Houston Aeros: The Rampage are 2-2-0-0 against their West Division foe... After playing four games in four months against the I-10 rival, the Rampage will play the Aeros three times in the next five days; and eight of their final 19 games in a 50-day span... The Rampage have lost their last two meetings against the Aeros, including their last meeting, a 4-2 loss, at the SBC Center on Jan. 21 ... The teams have gone into overtime in seven of 28 meetings with the Rampage going 3-1-3 in the extra session.

BROTHERLY LOVE: Rampage center Joe Cullen will face off against his brother Mark Cullen three times in the next five days; and eight of the team's final 19 games in a 50-day span. The Cullen brothers have another brother, Matt, who is with the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes and a cousin, Jon, who plays for the Cardiff Devils (Wales, UK) of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL).

NAIL BITERS: The Rampage are 16-7-3-4 in one-goal games after their 2-1 OT loss in Grand Rapids last night .

BACK IT UP: The Rampage began their 12th set of back-to-back games in Grand Rapids last night... San Antonio is currently 12-9-0-2 and is scheduled for 16 total back-to-back sessions for the 2004-05 season. The Rampage went 9-13-2-0 last season in back-to-back contests.

DOWN THE BACK STRETCH: After 60 games, the Rampage sit at 23-31-2-4 with 20 games remaining in the 2004-05 season. Of those 20 games, 17 will be against AHL West Division opponents including eight with Houston and four with Grand Rapids. The Rampage trail Houston and Grand Rapids for the final playoff spot in the West Division.

ROAD WARRIORS: The Rampage embarked on a 29-day, 12-game, nine-city, 13,500-mile road trip on Jan. 29 in Cincinnati that concluded last night in Grand Rapids. The trip, necessitated by the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo's use of the SBC Center, is annual journey through the month of February for both the AHL's Rampage and the NBA's Spurs. In the past two February road trips the Rampage went 7-4-1 in 2002-03 and 4-8-0 in 2003-04, while halting with a 4-7-1-0 record this season.

BACKSTOP SCOTT: Goaltender Travis Scott is currently 2nd in the AHL in saves (1313), trailing Ryan Miller (ROC) by 10; while Kari Lehtonen sits close in 3rd (CHI, 1260).

THE WEST WING: Tonight's game against Houston will be the 41st contest played against a West Division opponent this season. The Rampage, who are currently 17-18-3-2 against their division rivals, are slated to play 56 contests against their division foes this season. In addition, San Antonio will face two Atlantic Division opponents (HFD, WOR) totaling four games, one East Division opponent (NOR) for four games and five North Division opponents (EDM, MTB, CLE, ROC, SYR) totaling 16 games. The Rampage, were 21-32-7-0 in 60 games against West Division opponents last season.
