SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Bobby Butler scored two goals and added an assist as the San Antonio Rampage knocked off Oklahoma City 4-3 in the Barons' final preseason game Saturday at AT&T Center.

Butler's first goal came at 6:03 of the second period with the Rampage shorthanded after a Brett Olson hooking penalty that occurred at 5:11. Butler intercepted an errant pass in the Oklahoma City zone and skated in alone, beating Barons goalie Ty Rimmer to give San Antonio a 2-1 lead.

At 8:44 of the second, Butler tallied his second goal of the contest when he received a pass from Byron Froese and beat Rimmer to the glove side for a 3-1 Rampage lead.

Oklahoma City's Kale Kessy opened the game's scoring at 7:22 of the first period when he rebounded a Graeme Craig shot and beat San Antonio goalie Dan Ellis for a 1-0 Barons lead.

Butler registered his first point of the game on San Antonio's game-tying goal :35 into the second period when he sent a shot toward the Oklahoma City net that was deflected by Byron Froese and past Rimmer.

After Butler's two goals, the Barons narrowed the deficit to 3-2 when Mitch Holmberg received a pass from Jason Williams and scored on a high shot from the edge of the crease that snuck past Ellis at 9:38 of the second period.

San Antonio increased its lead to 4-2 at 9:37 of the third period when Garrett Wilson attempted a pass from behind the Barons net that bounced off OKC backup goalie Frans Tuohimaa's skate and into the Oklahoma City net.

After a penalty to San Antonio's Steven Hodges at 15:00 of the third period, Oklahoma City once again cut the deficit to one goal when Williams fired a shot from near the blue line that evaded traffic in front of the Rampage net and sailed past Ellis.

Barons starting goalie Rimmer made 17 saves on 20 San Antonio shots in 29:17 of play, while Tuohimaa was 4 of 5 in 29:38.

The Barons concluded their preseason schedule with a record of 1-1 and will face the Rampage once again Saturday, Oct. 11, in the 7 pm season-opener at AT&T Center.

Oklahoma City's home opener is Friday, Oct. 17, when the Barons take on the Texas Stars in a 7 pm start at the Cox Convention Center.
