Boise, ID (8/4/2015) - The ECHL's Idaho Steelheads announced Tuesday that Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph has resigned to accept the position of head coach of the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League.
Ralph leaves the Steelheads after three seasons with a record of 132 wins, 64 losses and 20 overtime or shootout losses for a winning percentage of .657. "People notice when you have success and Coach Ralph had a lot of success here," Steelheads team President Eric Trapp said. "We appreciate the time and effort he put in here and expect him to continue to have success in his future endeavors. He and his family represented this organization well and we're thankful for that."
Trapp says he expects to have Ralph's successor named in the near future.
The Steelheads open the regular season on Friday, October 16, at home against the Rapid City Rush. It is the first of 36 home games, each of which will be played at CenturyLink Arena.
Season tickets are on sale now with full-season packages starting as low as $275 per seat for all 36 home games. Partial-season packages are also available. Contact the Idaho Steelheads at 208-383-0080 for more information or log on to www.idahosteelheads.com.
