May 29, 2021 - The Crosscutters plated five runs in the top of the 8th inning, tying the game at 8-8, which would ultimately be the final score with the league's new ruling.
The MLB Draft League announced there will no longer be extra innings played in games this season, and any game tied after nine innings would be scored a tie. Tonight marks the first tie of the season for the Crosscutters.
Jacob Smith allowed two runs, unearned, over three innings of work in his 2nd start of the season for the Cutters. Smith struck out five and walked 2 in the no decision.
Chaz Salter finished the night 2-for-5 with three RBI, including two coming on the game-tying single in the top of the 8th inning.
Hogan McIntosh also went 2-for-5 in the tie, driving in a pair of runs.
Isaac Nunez was the third and final Cutter to register a multi-hit game, going 2-for-5 with an RBI.
Cutters pitching combined to strikeout 13 Black Bears batters, while allowing nine walks and six hits.
