Raley Field Named Among Top 10 Minor League Ballparks By USA Today

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif., April 7, 2010 - Earlier this month USA Today named Raley Field as one of the 10 great places for a baseball pilgrimage. With approximately 160 affiliated minor-league ballparks in the country this distinct honor adds to the anticipation of Opening Night at Raley Field when the River Cats open their 2010 home schedule on Friday, April 16th at, 7:05 p.m. against the Reno Aces (Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks).

"We are honored to have Raley Field named as one of the top 10 minor-league ballparks," said Alan Ledford, President, General Manager and COO of the Sacramento River Cats. "I can't think of a better way to begin the season. We hope that everyone will have an opportunity to attend a River Cats game this year and see for themselves what a great facility we have right here in West Sacramento."

Raley Field provides breathtaking views Sacramento, the Tower Bridge and is conveniently located near Old Sacramento and Downtown destinations. Plus, with ticket prices starting at $7, it's an affordable night for families and fans of all ages. New this year, seniors eat free on Mondays when they sign up for the free Del Webb Silver Cats Club and Kids eat free on Tuesdays. Fridays are Toyota Family Value Nights with dollar hotdogs and dollar desserts and there are many other food and drink specials throughout the season.

But for the baseball fan, the River Cats are champions on and off the field, leading attendance in all of minor league baseball over the past 10 seasons and winning 4 PCL championships and 8 PCL south division championships.
