
Aces Open Second Season Tonight

RENO, Nev. - The Reno Aces will kick-off their second season Thursday night at 6:05 p.m. against the Fresno Grizzlies in front of a sellout crowd at Aces Ballpark, with a pre-game fireworks show and the much-anticipated debut of the Freight House District.
The Aces and Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, will square-off Thursday through Sunday at Aces Ballpark. Friday and Saturday night's games will be 7:05 p.m. starts, with Sunday's matinee set to begin at 1:05 p.m.
Also on Thursday, SK Baseball will unveil its newest downtown development, the Freight House District. The year-round dining and entertainment complex adjacent to Aces Ballpark will be opened to the public for the first time, with both Duffy's Ale House and Bugsy's Sports Bar and Grill open for business starting at 2 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.
Friday night, the Aces will be giving away 2,500 magnet schedules presented by McMaster Consulting. In addition, the Aces will continue the popular tradition of St. Mary's Fireworks Fridays presented by KOLO 8 News Now, which will follow every Friday night home game.
Saturday night, 3,000 fans will receive an Aces fleece blanket presented by Silver Legacy/Eldorado. Fans are invited to line-up early, as these popular items are expected to go fast.
Like last season, the Aces are proud to reintroduce the Kids Run the Bases program presented by Dr. David Welmerink, the Ace of Braces. After every Friday, Saturday and Sunday game, all children 12 and under are invited to run the bases on the Aces Ballpark infield.
The first Aces homestand of the season will conclude with a four-game set against the Salt Lake Bees, to take place Monday through Thursday of next week. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday's games will begin at 6:05 p.m., with a 1:05 p.m. start slated for Wednesday afternoon.
At Monday night's 6:05 p.m. game, 3,000 fans will receive a special Reno Aces scarf, while Thursday's 6:05 p.m. tilt will introduce 2010's first of nine Coors Light Thirsty Thursdays⢠of the season.
In addition to the $2 Coors and Coors Lights that fans have come to expect, the Aces are now offering special Thirsty Thursday tickets. For $14, fans get a ticket to the game and two Coors or Coors Lights from the Coors Light Party Zone or adjacent concession stand. Fans in this special ticketed area on April 15 will also receive a concert-style Coors T-shirt. Other entertainment options will be unveiled throughout the season for this new ticketed area.
