Greeneville Flyboys News Release
BRISTOL, VA - Thursday night's series finale at Boyce Cox Field between the Greeneville Reds (17-23) and Bristol Pirates (19-21) has been cancelled due to inclement weather. The Reds and Pirates do not play again in 2019, so tonight's game will not be made up.
The game was called after the first out in the top of the fifth inning with Bristol leading 8-2. The game was two outs away from becoming official. Because the game wasn't completed, the statistics from tonight's game do not count.
The Reds head home to begin a three game series with the Pulaski Yankees at Pioneer Park on Friday at 6:30 PM. RHP Jake Gilbert (0-0, 1.00) will start the opener for Greeneville.
Friday night at Pioneer Park will feature the final fireworks show of the year. There will also be an Allegiant Airlines voucher giveaway to various lucky fans presented by Allegiant Airlines.
