St. Lucie Mets News Release

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Rain showers and unplayable field conditions on Friday at Hammond Stadium halted the three-game series between the St. Lucie Mets and Fort Myers Miracle.

The two teams were scheduled to pick up play from Thursday's suspended game at 5:05 p.m. The Miracle led the game 3-2 with one out and the Mets batting in the top of the fifth. The teams were then supposed to play a seven inning series finale.

Since Friday was the final day of the series, the Mets and Miracle will resume the series the next they meet in Fort Myers on August 12. On August 12, the teams will pick up Thursday's suspended game and play it to it's completion. A seven inning game will follow that night.

On August 13, the teams will play a doubleheader. Both games are set for seven innings.

The season finale between the Mets and Miracle will be played over nine innings on August 14.

The Mets (44-32, 4-3) return to Tradition Field on Saturday to host the Bradenton Marauders at 6:30 p.m.
