Cleburne Railroaders News Release

CLEBURNE, Texas - Trevor Sealey notched his first multi-hit as a Cleburne Railroader, but the St. Paul Saints scored three unearned runs en route to a 4-1 series-opening win Friday night at The Depot.

Sealey doubled and scored Cleburne's (6-8) only run in the sixth, when Angelo Gumbs bounced into a double play with the bases loaded and nobody out. After Levi Scott was hit by a pitch, the Railroaders left runners on the corners to end the inning.

St. Paul (10-4) opened the scoring in the 4th inning with three unearned runs. One run scored when Patrick Palmeiro missed Jordan Dean with a throw on a force out at second, and Josh Allen singled in two more runs on a ball that deflected in and out of Palmeiro's glove down the line.

Starter Dylan Mouzakes went five innings and gave up the three unearned runs, while Will Mathis went four innings and gave up a run in the ninth.

K.C. Huth went 1-for-4, while Angelo Gumbs went 2-for-4 and Jordan Dean added a base hit.

St. Paul starter Vinny Nittoli went six innings and gave up the one run on five hits with a walk and eight strikeouts, and Mike Devine pitched two scoreless innings before former big leaguer Tom Wilhelmsen shut the door with a scoreless ninth.

Game 2 of the three-game set is set for 7:06 p.m. RHP Jared Mortensen will throw for the Railroaders and a starter for St. Paul has yet to be announced. Pregame coverage on TuneIn Radio will begin at 6:40.

Van Chapman will perform a free postgame concert on Saturday, and tickets can be purchased at www.railroaderbaseball.com or by calling (817) 945-8705.
