
Railers Trade Ashton Rome to Manchester for Justin Agosta

Worcester, MA - The Worcester Railers Hockey Club (@RailersHC), proud ECHL (@ECHL) affiliate of the New York Islanders (@NYIslanders), and Railers HC General Manager and Head Coach Jamie Russell (@JamieRussell18) officially announced today that the club has traded forward Ashton Rome to the Manchester Monarchs in exchange for defenseman Justin Agosta.
Justin Agosta joins the Worcester Railers from Manchester, where he played in 45 games and recorded three goals and 15 assists for 18 points. The 27-year-old defenseman has also played in Toledo and Florida and has 19 goals and 55 assists for a total of 74 points in 138 games in the ECHL.
The East Meadows, NY native spent three seasons with the University of New Hampshire and one with Quinnipiac University for a total of 12 goals and 55 assists in 155 games. Agosta was named a starter for the 2017 ECHL All-Star team and has also played in the AHL with stops in Charlotte, San Antonio, Albany, and Hershey.
Josh McArdle joins the Worcester Railers after spending four seasons with Brown University. The 23-year-old defenseman amassed four goals and 21 assists for 25 points in 120 games for Brown.
Before joining Brown, the Roscoe, IL native spent two seasons in the USHL with the Tri-City Storm and one season in the BCHL with the Nanaimo Clippers. McArdle looks to make his professional debut with the Railers.Â

The Railers return home on Sunday, March 11 to host the Adirondack Thunder at 3:05pm on a KIDS GIVEAWAY SUNDAY!
