RailCats Trade Hamilton to Lincoln

GARY, IN-The Gary SouthShore RailCats have traded INF Jeremy Hamilton to the Lincoln SaltDogs for future considerations and have signed INF Adam Humes the club announced Wednesday. Hamilton appeared in 33 games this season acquiring a batting average of .259. Hamilton is tied for the team lead in doubles. The Cincinnati, Ohio native was signed by the RailCats in 2014 after playing in the Frontier League with Florence in 2013.

Humes played college ball at Northwood University, and currently resides in Plano, TX. In 2013 with McCallen of the United Leauge, Humes appeared in seven games and batted .214 with 3 RBIs. While at Northwood Humes was selected to play in the Alaskan Baseball League All Star Game. Humes was also selected to participate in the Home Run Derby Showcase for the ABL.
