Wichita 6, Grand Prairie 2 (Doubleheader Game One- 7 innings)
The Wingnuts held off a late rally by the AirHogs and took a win in game one of the doubleheader in Wichita. Wichita plated five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, with 2B Jake Kahaulelio hitting a two-run double and C J.T. Wise hitting a two-run home run.
SS Ryan Khoury was 3-for-3 in the game with an RBI, coming on a solo home run in the third inning.
The winning pitcher was RHP Jason Van Skike, who struck out three hitters in a scoreless five and 2/3 innings. RHP Daniel Bennett struck out one in the seventh for his first save of the season.
