
RailCats Release Exhibition Schedule

GARY, Ind. - With spring training just one week away, the RailCats have announced a slate of seven exhibition games, including four home dates at U. S. Steel Yard. All fans will be admitted to the home exhibition games free of charge.
The spring training schedule begins and ends with games against the Schaumburg Boomers, the Frontier League team that is owned by RailCats owners Pat and Lindy Salvi. The "ÃËCats will travel to Schaumburg for their first exhibition game on May 7 at 1 p.m. and then close out the pre-season with a home game against the Boomers on Monday, May 13 at 7:10 p.m.
The RailCats will welcome the Frontier League's Evansville Otters to town on Wednesday, May 8 at 4:10 p.m. and Thursday, May 9 at 12:10. On Friday, May 10, the RailCats will host a team of local Northwest Indiana stars and tryout camp invitees at 2:10 p.m.=9A
The schedule includes American Association competition in St. Paul, when the RailCats visit the Saints for games on May 11 and 12.
RailCats Opening Day is Thursday, May 16 against the Lincoln Saltdogs at 7:10 p.m. Single game tickets are on sale now at the RailCats box office and online at www.railcatsbaseball.com .=9A
