
RailCats Add Fowler

GARY, IN - The Gary South Shore RailCats have signed RHP Barry Fowler and placed infielder Donald Blunt on irrevocable waivers.
Fowler last pitched in 2012 for Sioux Falls and has also spent seasons with Winnipeg and El Paso in the American Association. The 38 year-old right hander has a career record of 6-12 with an ERA of 5.14 in 161 innings pitched in the American Association. Fowler pitched at the University of Georgia prior to his pro career. Blunt made just one appearance with the RailCats, going 1-2 with a walk and a caught stealing. Last season, he hit .253 with three home runs and 14 RBI in 30 games for St. Paul.
The RailCats play the Fargo Moorehead RedHawks on Wednesday in the game two of a three game series. Dan Vaughan will have the call on WEFM and railcatsbaseball.com.
