RailCats Add Bullpen Depth

GARY, IN - The Gary South Shore RailCats announced Friday that the club has added RHP Ryan Richardson to the roster for the 2016 season.
Ryan Richardson joins the RailCats after spending 2015 with both the Lake Erie Crushers (Frontier) and the Alpine Cowboys (Pecos). Richardson began the season with Alpine going 2-1 and notched a league leading 17 saves and a team low 2.27 ERA in 31.2 innings of relief. His ERA was tops among league relievers and Richardson helped his club reach the Championship series and finish runners up. Richardson moved to Lake Erie on August 7th and worked in 14 games totally 14.1 innings with an impressive 0.63 ERA.
Richardson a native of Spokane, Washington spent 2014 with Alpine and 2013 with Roswell (Pecos). He has a career 5-5 record in 121.2 professional innings with a 4.66 ERA. Richardson pitched collegiately at Campbellsville University in Kentucky and at Walla Wall CC in Washington State.
2016 will mark the 15th season of RailCats Baseball in Northwest Indiana. Opening Day for the RailCats' on the South Shore is Friday, May 27th against the Joplin Blasters.
