RailCats Activate Quintero and Place Osaki on DL

St. Paul, MN - Prior to tonight's game against the St. Paul Saints the Gary South Shore RailCats have activated AJ Quintero from the Disabled List and placed RHP Kevin Osaki on the Disabled List.

Quintero has appeared in eight games for Gary working in 10.1 IP with a 1-1 record in relief. The California native returned to the RailCats in 2015 after appearing in 5 games with the RailCats last season. He went 5.2 innings and posted a 3.18 ERA in 2014. As a senior at Cal State - Monterey Bay Quintero went 6-3 with a 2.88 ERA in 68.2 IP with three complete games.

Osaki pitched for the RailCats in last night's 15-2 loss giving up five earned runs in three innings. In 2015, the rookie out of Chapman University in California, is 0-1 with a 6.14 ERA in 14.2 IP for the South Shore. In his 2014 senior season, after missing all of the year prior due to injury, Osaki went 5-0 in 11 starts with one appearance out of the bullpen.

The RailCats continue their six game road trip with two more games in St. Paul Saturday and Sunday before heading into Canada to face Winnipeg Monday - Wednesday. The club returns home on Friday June 26th to face the Lincoln Saltdogs at 7:10pm at US Steel Yard.
