GARY, Ind. - The Gary SouthShore RailCats, in conjunction with food service provider Aramark, are proud to announce a number of great deals at U. S. Steel Yard for the rest of the summer, including two free hot dog giveaway nights and Kids Eat Free Night.
On Thirsty Thursday, July 30 and Tuesday, August 25, every single fan entering the ballpark will get a coupon for one free hot dog. There's no catch, simply take the coupon - received at the gate - to any U. S. Steel Yard concession stand and walk away with a delicious Red Hot Chicago hot dog, totally free.
Then on Wednesday, August 5, the RailCats are making family fun more affordable when all kids eat free! Every child 12 and under who walks through the gates that night will get a coupon for a free hot dog and soda, again with no strings attached.
Fun, affordable, family entertainment has been the bedrock of RailCats baseball since the Steel Yard first opened its gates in 2003. Now in 2009, the âCats are enforcing their commitment to providing the better than one million fans who have walked through those gates the best deals in baseball.
Effective immediately, the RailCats and Aramark have also slashed prices on ballpark favorite's cotton candy, souvenir soda, chips and soft pretzels every game for the rest of the summer. The RailCats are also now offering fans (21 and over) 12 ounce cans of Miller High Life and Miller High Life Lite for just $3, making it the cheapest beer in the park. Additionally, starting July 30, when any fan buys a jumbo hot dog and large soda, they'll get their choice of a free small popcorn or bag of chips.
The RailCats wind down a seven-game homestand this weekend with three games against the Schaumburg Flyers beginning Friday night at 7 p.m. It's Fireworks Friday, with a spectacular show sponsored by First Midwest Bank and the Post-Tribune set to launch after the game.
