LAST TIME OUT: The Rail Yard Dawgs found themselves in a 3-1 hole in the second period but scored twice to even the score then Dillan Fox buried the game-winner in overtime as Roanoke defeated the Knoxville Ice Bears, 4-3, Saturday night at Berglund Center.

THE SEASON SERIES: Friday is the second of 13 games that Fayetteville and Roanoke will play against one another. The Rail Yard Dawgs opened their 2018-19 season on the road against the Marksmen last Friday and fell by a final score of 2-1. Roanoke got the better of Fayetteville last season to the tune of a 9-4-0 record in 13 matchups.

A SLY HOME DEBUT: Dillan Fox scored twice including the game-winner in overtime during the Dawgs 4-3 win over Knoxville on Saturday. It was Fox's first home game as a Rail Yard Dawg. The third-year pro split the 2017-18 season between the Mississippi RiverKings and ECHL Reading Royals. He had 23 goals in 32 games for Mississippi last season.

ROSTER SHUFFLE: The Rail Yard Dawgs tweaked their roster throughout the week with a handful of transactions. Defenseman Nikita Kolesnikovs was signed and defenseman Troy Henley was acquired from the Quad City Storm to complete the earlier trade that sent Phil Bronner to the Storm. To make room on the roster, defenseman JT Walters was waived and forward Jesse Schwartz was placed on injured reserve.

SHARE THE WEALTH: Eric Witzel and Maxime Guyon each had three assists during the Dawgs opening weekend and are tied for first in the SPHL. Witzel assisted on the lone Roanoke goal on Friday and picked up two on Saturday. Guyon fired seven shots on net on Friday and handed out three assists during Saturday's overtime win

SPECIAL TEAMS: Roanoke has started slow on both the power play and penalty kill. The Dawgs were a combined 1-for-9 on the man advantage and killed five of the eight penalties they committed over the weekend. The Dawgs 62.5% PK is currently last in the league.

FRIDAY'S JERSEYS: The Rail Yard Dawgs will wear specialty jerseys on Friday night that were designed by a fan. The team took submissions over the summer and narrowed them down to six finalists to be voted on by the fans. The winner of the fan vote will be revealed when the Rail Yard Dawgs skate out before the national anthem.

ONE AND DONE: Friday's game is the only game that both the Rail Yard Dawgs and Marksmen will play this weekend.

UP NEXT: Roanoke hits the road for its one and only game of the weekend on Friday night in Knoxville. Puck drop at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum is scheduled for 7:30 PM
