
Raiders announce Management Change

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - Prince Albert Raiders President Dale McFee, on behalf of the Board of Directors of the community owned Western Hockey League team, has announced that Bruno Campese has assumed the duties of the General Manager, as well as Head Coach, for the duration of the 2007-08 season. Campese takes over from Donn Clark who has been relieved of his duties.
Campese was hired as the 11th Head Coach of the Raiders on June 21st, 2007. Campese was the Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations of the Penticton Vees of the BCHL from 2004-07, winning regular season divisional pennants in 2005-06 and 2006-07 and division championship in 2005-06. Campese also has a Masters in Education from Eastern Washington University.
Clark was in his 8th year with the Raiders in his second term with the team. He coached the Raiders from 1993-95, then returned to the organization in 2000 as Head Coach. In 2001 he was named Director of Hockey Operations and took over as General Manager in 2003.
"This has been a very difficult decision for the Board of Directors, but one we had to make to move our organization forward", said McFee. "Donn Clark has provided a tremendous service to the Raiders the past 8 seasons and we want to thank him for his loyalty, hard work and dedication."
"The Board is committed to our fans to make this hockey team more competitive," continued McFee. "Bruno Campese has had success at the Junior A level as a coach and general manager. Campese will analyze and evaluate all aspects of hockey operations in the coming months as we continue to battle for a playoff spot this season and into the future."
"My focus will be to produce the best possible product on the ice for the fans of the Prince Albert Raiders," explained Campese. "We will cultivate a culture that is built around hard work and commitment to the Raider jersey."
Campese will take over as General Manager through the end of May, 2008 at which time the Board of Directors will re-assess the position.
The Raider Board of Directors also will be appointing a new Alternate Governor to Governor Bob MacDonald.
