MOBILE, AL - Chris Rahl's three run home run in the eighth inning gave the BayBears a 7-5 win Thursday over Tennessee. The win was the BayBears third straight, after losing game one Monday to the Smokies. The BayBears sit in third place, eight games behind Jacksonville and Montgomery, who are both tied for first place in the Southern League South.

The BayBears scored four times with two outs in the second inning, with five straight hits against Tennessee starter Justin Berg. The four runs came on RBI doubles by Chris Rahl and Mobile starting pitcher Osbek Castillo, an RBI triple by Emilio Bonifacio, and an RBI single by Wilkin Castillo to score Bonifacio. Castillo pitched five innings, allowing two runs on just one hit. Castillo did not factor in the decision in his return to the BayBears, after a two game stop with Single-A Visalia.

Tennessee scored four times in the sixth, and once in the eighth with two outs when Wilkin Castillo dropped a ground ball with the bases loaded. The five unanswered runs put Tennessee in front by a run before Rahl's home run gave the BayBears their final lead of the night. Clint Goocher threw just one pitch, retiring Tyler Colvin for the games final out, giving Goocher's sixth save.

The BayBears and Smokies play Friday at 7:05 PM, with Mobile RHP Brooks Brown (3-3) pitching against Tennessee RHP Jeff Samardzija (3-0).
