WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder lost 8-2 to the Rocky Mountain Rage at the Kansas Coliseum on Friday night. Daymen Rycroft, Simon Watson, and Colt King all scored a pair of goals, while Nick Harloff chipped in three assists for the Rage.

Wichita received goals from Mike Zbriger and Joel Hanson. Hanson's goal in the first period snapped Wichita's 0 for 28 skid on the power play. Krister Toews took the loss, saving 22 of 30. Marty Magers picked up the win, stopping 26 of 28.

Brad Thompson returned to the lineup after missing 14 games due to injury and contributed an assist. Prior to the game, Jonathan Bernier was moved from the 14-Day IR to the 30-Day IR, while Connor MacDonald was placed on the Season-Ending IR.

The Thunder next plays on Saturday night when they host the Odessa Jackalopes at 7:05 p.m. The Thunder will be hosting its second annual "Pink at the Rink Night", sponsored by the Mary Kay Ash Foundation. A jersey auction will take place during the game to benefit Mary Kay. Following the contest, there will be a postgame party at the Park City Applebee's, located south of the Coliseum on I-135.
