Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. - The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (20-23) bested the Rockford Rivets (19-23) 8-2 to earn their second sweep of the second half. Steven Rivas earned home run No. 10 on the season as the Rafters scored eight times on six hits.

The Rafters struck first for the second straight night. The cranberry and gold scored four times in the fourth. Another Rafter run scored in the fifth thanks to an RBI sac fly from Wold.

With a 5-0 lead in the sixth, Rockford scored their only runs of the game off a bases-loaded walk and a wild pitch. The Rafters' pitching staff held the Rivets in check striking out 13 Rockford hitters.

Trayson Kubo (4-1, 1.45 ERA) earned his fourth win of the season by throwing five scoreless and fanning seven. Alex Bacevicius (0-1, 6.00 ERA) suffered the loss allowing four earned runs in four innings.
