
Radue Seeks Series Split for Bullfrogs

Green Bay, WI- Ryan Radue will look for another win on the mound tonight for the Green Bay Bullfrogs, following a 12-5 loss to the La Crosse Loggers on the road last night.
The Bullfrogs jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first with a two-run home run for Robb Paller and an RBI double for Paul Jacobson to score Ryan Donovan.
La Crosse came back with five runs in the fourth. Ryan Kirby walked with the bases loaded, and Alex Merritt was hit by a pitch one batter later. Luis Trevino connected on a three-run triple to give the Loggers the advantage.
The Loggers increased their lead to five in the sixth with RBIs from Will Savage and Brock Lundquist.
Jacobson hit a solo home run in the seventh for the Bullfrogs. He finished 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs in his second consecutive three-hit game.
Savage walked to score a run, and Lundquist recorded a bases-loaded double to score three in the bottom of the seventh to push the La Crosse advantage to eight runs.
Donovan singled to score Paller in the top of the eighth for the final run of the game.
The Bullfrogs will look for a series split tonight at 5:05 at Copeland Park with Radue on the mound.
Radue will come in to tonight's game with a 5-0 record, and his five wins are tied for second in the Northwoods League. Green Bay has won in all eight of his starts this season, and Radue has yet to allow more than three runs in any game
Radue has a 3.34 earned run average with 34 strikeouts in 35 total innings pitched and has not seen the Loggers this year.
La Crosse will start 6-foot-3 lefthander Alex Shake, who is making his second start of the year. Shake made his second appearance on July 14 and pitched well against the Battle Creek Bombers. He threw six innings and allowed one run on four hits and two walks with five strikeouts in a 4-1 victory.
Following tonight's game, the Bullfrogs will return to Joannes Stadium on July 27 for a six-game home stand.
