Quiroz placed on DL, Yepez returns to Jaxx from High Desert

JACKSON, TENN. (AUGUST 25, 2009) - The Seattle Mariners have announced the following roster moves affecting the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx. C Guillermo Quiroz has been placed on the 7-Day DL due to a left wrist injury. The Diamond Jaxx add C Jose Yepez from A+ High Desert.

C Guillermo Quiroz was removed in the second inning of yesterday's 4-3 victory over the Birmingham Barons. Quiroz has played in 47 games with the Jaxx in 2009 and also made an appearance with the Seattle Mariners in early June. Quiroz collected four hits in four games for the Seattle Mariners, with 2 RBI.

C Jose Yepez returns to West Tenn for a second stint in 2009. Yepez was called up from High Desert for the first time on May 26th and was optioned back to High Desert on June 11th. Yepez joins Flemming Baez as the Diamond Jaxx 2 catchers.
