CORPUS CHRISTI - What are you doing this month? OK, here's the deal. We have a proposition for you. Want to, uh, go steady?
The first four of 17 May Whataburger Field dates fall next Tuesday through Friday when the first-place Midland RockHounds visit to bay at the bay moon.
The Hooks are also home May 11-18 and May 27-June 1!
Here's a look at the first May homestand, night-by-night:
Tuesday, May 5, Midland @ Hooks 7:05 p.m. (gates open 5:30) -
>Join us for a Cinco de Mayo Celebration featuring the National Anthem by Mariachi Espuelas and special music throughout the evening.
>The Hooks honor long-time Caller-Times editor and reporter Nick Jimenez with a ceremonial first pitch.
>It's Half-Price Group Night, presented by Champion Automotive.
>Whataburger Pancake Breakfast ticket sales continue on the main concourse; the May 16 event benefits the Miracle League of Corpus Christi.
>It's Ingleside High School Day at Whataburger Field. IHS honor roll students are admitted with complimentary tickets. Other members of the community receive $3 off the price of reserved seat and general admission tickets. This program is underwritten by the Hooks and Flint Hills Resources.

Come out to the grave - I mean ball - yard and get chilled by special music and all sorts of surprises." Just because Halloween falls on October 31 doesn't mean we can celebrate in early May, right? You'll see Whataburger Field in a whole new (black) light.
All fans dressed in costume get a free general admission ticket!
