Following a 5-1 loss, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights (5-10-1, 11pts.) will get another chance to face-off against the Johnstown Tomahawks (13-4, 26pts.) and end their losing skid Friday night at Revolution Ice Centre.

Danchenko Could Break A Record

Should Adrian Danchenko play in Friday's game, the forward would skate in his 117th North American Hockey League game for the Knights, sitting him in sole possession of most games played among all skaters in the teams' four year history in the NAHL. Currently, Danchenko is tied with former Knights' player Michael Morrissey at 116 games.

Morrissey played two years for the NAHL Knights, but also skated in their 18U, 16U, and Bantam program. Danchenko is beginning his third season with the NAHL Knights, but like Morrissey, has also played in various levels of Knights' youth hockey.

Strand-ing Tall

Defenseman Jordan Strand was a plus one in Thursday's loss to the Tomahawks. He was the only blue liner to have a positive in that category. While the Minnesota native may not score a ton of goals or pile up points, he provides consistent play in his own end, even amidst Wilkes-Barre's current losing streak.

Strand has frequently helped clean up the defensive zone and get the puck out of trouble for goaltenders Zach Stejskal and Samuel Vyletelka. The '99 defender has four points in 14 games this year.

We Need Moore Hitting

Although he was a minus two, Beck Moore contributed in the physical play of Thursday's game, racking up somewhere in the vicinity of half a dozen hits. The Knights have lost six straight and there's no immediate remedy in sight or magic wand to waive at problems, but sometimes a player who can deliver a big hit and spark his team could turn in results. Moore won't be the scorer the previous number 10 on this team was (Jack Olmstead), but he can help get the Knights going on a physical note, and perhaps his teammates can follow suit.

For What It's Worth

These are not fun numbers to talk about, but here we go:

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has dropped six straight and have been outscored 22-9 in that span. The team has scored just one goal in each of their last five games. They rank 21st in the league in goals for. Johnstown is first in that category with 66.

The Tomahawks became the first team in the NAHL to reach 13 wins on the season. They are now ahead of second place New Jersey in the East Division by six points.

Friday marks the final meeting between the Tomahawks and Knights at Revolution Ice Centre this season. The next time these squads meet will come in January, where the Knights travel away in the Keystone State and will play the Tomahawks six times on the road.

Goalie Zach Stejskal had his first rough game of the season Thursday allowing five goals. Still, the man in between the pipes carries a .932 save percentage this season; tying him for eighth in the league. Stejskal has also made the third most saves across the NAHL.

The Knights are 3-3 in Friday games this season.
